Vektor - Outer Isolation 8/10

I couldn't understand why everybody's freakin' out nowadays when it comes to a band called Vektor. So it made me interested and I bought their new record Outer Isolation as a limited clear vinyl version which came out in late 2012 via Earache Records.
The first release of Outer Isolation was back in 2011 on a CD press.

After hearing it I'm definitely smarter now. ;)

Vektor was born in 2002 and they have currently three records out. 1. Demolition from (2006)  I  2. Black Future (2009)  I  3. Outer Isolation (2011)

These guys from Tempe Arizona plays a really cool mix of Death-/ Thrash Metal. Very different from what's out at the moment. 8 tracks with a running time of almost an hour. Excellent technically wise. In my opinion, the reason why they get so hyped in the scene right now absolutely right. No doubt about it! Only negative on the vinyl version I can say, is that there were no lyrics inside but in fact that the music speaks for itself and the vinyl look in general totally amaizing I give this record a 8/10.

Please check out the new album Outer Isolation and give 'em a like on their facebook page.

...so now I have to work myself from the end to the beginning and that means Black Future is next! ;)

Cheers
DOImI

Evile - Enter the Grave 11/10

For servaral years, the opinions about Evile differ greatly. But in my personal opinion, they're still one of the best in this genre and I think their debut from 2007 isn't reached until to this day!

I'm banging right now to Enter the Grave which was the beginning of the whole revival Thrash Scene for me started with all these great bands from the UK like Gama Bomb, SSS, Pitiful Reign, Mutant, Warpath, Savage Messiah... and man it's damn bloody good to hear this old sh#t right now!! 10 killer produced old school Thrash Metal songs by non other than legendary Flemming Rasmussen (Metallica) at Sweet Silence Studios in Kopenhagen, Dänemark. With this record you will find everything which you will search in Thrash Metal music. Killer vox, killer drums, killer riffs, killer solo work. It's just perfect for me and because of that this milestone deserve a 11/10 hell yeah!!
My personal favorites of this record are the awesome opener and the song, which gave this classic it's name ENTER THE GRAVE, then it goes on with FIRST BLOOD, a tribute to the 1st Rambo film, then KILLER FROM THE DEEP with for me one of the best head crushing riffs in the middle to the dark melodic intro of WE WHO ARE ABOUT TO DIE to BATHE IN BLOOD with a main riff that will kill all your cervical and this damn good finisher ARMOURED ASSAULT so you see, this album is fully packed with ballz to wall music.

Grab yourself a copy of this Monsterrecord if you haven't already and destroy whatever you've been able to catch around.

THE RETURN OF HEADS DOWN NO NONSENSE THRASH METAL!!

Warlike Deathstrike celebrate 80s style Thrash Metal

Germany's Warlike Deathstrike has desided to deliver us razorsharp riffs, bone breaking drums and lyrics, that only life can write. And thats exactly what you'll get from them and end of story! Check 'em out and give these guys a like on their Facebook page.

“With oldschool thrash metal in our pocket, we climb out to kick ass and spread the early 80s style around the world. To remember, to celebrate and to metal up your ass!”

An Introduce in Violence w/ ETECC, Electirc Hellride, MadMaze, Impactor

ETECC from Wolfsburg Germany delivered us a big fat Modern-Thrash record called Volition in 2012. Mainly influenced by bands like Pantera, Lamb of God, Metallica. ETECC was formed in 2009 by the three band members Souhaieb, Timo and Marc. If you like really ass kickin riffs paired with pounding drums you definitely gonna check this band out!

Electric Hellride!!! I mean the name speaks for itself. These four guys from Kopenhagen Denmark play on their album Hate.Control.Manipulate one Groove-Thrash riff after another, produced by Jacob Bredahl (Hatesphere). So you know what you can expect... A really fat sounding killer of a record.

For Classic Revival Thrash Fans I like to introduce Italy Powerhouse MadMaze. They will kill you by the first tones. Words can't describe so go and check these fux out!!

Impactor is an old school sounding Thrash Metal combo from Germany which started back in 2005 and was comleted in 2008. They came up with their 2nd album Arise in Decay in sping of 2012. Straight in your face Thrash Metal with a classic dry sound. If you like 80's Thrash from Kreator, Sodom you have to give 'em a listen.

Dust Bolt - Violent Demolition

Long time ago I've read something over a band named Dust Bolt in a local magazine. But now I've only purchased their debut and I speak to myself "Why the hell I waited so long?"

These guys from Germany know how to Thrash the fuck out of you!! With their Debut Violent Demolition which was released in 2012 via Napalm Records, these four guys from Bavaria were one of the best upcoming revival thrash bands in my opinion for some time. And I say this not only because they're my fellow countrymen. ;)

The whole package is just perfect. Insane Cover Artwork by A. Bouzikov and very well produced Thrash Metal music.

Dust Bolt beat on your debut through 9 super tight Thrash hymns. And as a special goody, there is no one lower than Derrick Green of Sepultura on the last dance of the record. You won't find more Thrash anywhere else at this point!!

To me it's a 10/10 and I've been only through Side A! ;)

Support these Maniax on facebook and give them big fuckin LIKE here and grab yourself a copy of Violent Demolition on Nuclear Blast!!

Haiduk - Spellbook 9,5/10

Haiduk is a Death/Thrash Metal Band from Calgary Alberta CANADA and a project of a mastermind named Luka Milojica which in 2010 came into the world by their first Demo "plagueswept".

On 18th July 2012 Spellbook (first full-length) was born.
The cool thing about this record besides the fenomenal sounding is the fact, that the band include only one Member - Luka Milojica. You can't believe it when you hear these polished Death/Thrash Songs. All songs were written by him. Even the instruments (guitars, bass, vocals, drum programming).

The Album was recorded at Leper Studios in Calgary Alberta Canada. Mixing & Mastering by Robert Kukla.

10 blasting tracks which reflects perfectly the dark and aggressive sound of this band. For me definitely one of the best Death/Thrash band in the last few years. Bands like Skeletonwitch, Avenger of Blood can take a leaf from this. And again, this is only a one man show!! That's incredible! I think the best words for describing this album was delivered by Haiduk itself; a black-magic conjuring of fast guitars and powerful riff attacks summoning an atmosphere of true darkness. This is true literally the nail on the head.

Personally my faves were Lich, Forcefield & Hex. For me a perfect statement where the album leads you.

Tracklist

1. Lich
2. Stormcall
3. Black Wind
4. Maelstrom
5. Forcefield
6. Hex
7. Tremor
8. Fire Wield
9. Lightning
10. Vortex

Total running time: 32:48

Massive thank you goes out to Luka for contacting me!!

Go, spread the word & support Haiduk the best you can on

Overdead is a spanish powerhouse from Barcelona mainly influenced by Bay Area Thrash. The band started in 2010 and is currently working on their first record. So hope to hear from these guys really fuckin soon.

Vivid Remorse is also high quality new Thrash from Barcelona. They came into this world in 2006. Their style is based on a mixture of both classic and modern thrash with some groove, hardcore and death metal influences, and the result is a very distinctive, unique and particular sound, which combines the classic and the melody of bands such Metallica or Death Angel with the modernity of Machine Head and Pantera and the speed of Slayer and Sepultura, all mixed with huge personality.

After recording a very succesful EP in 2009, the band released his first LP in september 2010, entitled "The Seed of Malaise." Recorded at well-known spanish recording studios Axtudio in July 2010, the album consists of 13 short tracks, diverse, powerful and dynamic, with original riffs and aggressive but melodic voices. In this album VIVID REMORSE shows everybody why it is considered one of the most original and promising metal bands in Spain, devoloping his own and particular style, a thrash without prejudices.
